If the entire solar system (except Luna) were to suddenly
disappear, the moon would sit there in space and continue to
spin like a top, albeit slowly, completing a rotation in almost
28 days.

It is proper to capitalize "Earth" just like "Jupiter" and
"Pluto".  It is usually not capitalized when referred to as "the
