Hello, to whom it may concern, I decided last week to go in for
a medical general exam. The medical clinic is one that i have
been attending for over the last twenty years. My doctor, also
has been my physician for the same length of time over twenty
years and is quite familiar with all medical conditions that
exist. As part of my medical exam the RN thought it would be a
good idea to run a chest xray. MY blood pressure was 120 over 80
and my pulse was 72 beats the RN said, " like a book reading."
My age is 48 years old, I'm a non-drinker and smoker I also am a
avid runner. Now I just wanted to give you a little history
about myself; I went back today for a follow up of those tests
and everything is pretty good cholestrol is a little high and i
will be placed on some medication. Today as my doctor was asking
me general questions he stated that the xray of my chest show a
piece of metal under neath the skin about the size of the tip of
a pencil were his exact words. The doctor asked me if i was ever
shot by a pellet rifle. I said no and we both looked at each
other and shrugged our shoulders. I believe the last chest xrays
i had were about two years ago when i had post surgery
complications with phneumonia and staph infection. This is the
first time today that i have ever heard of this piece of metal
lodged under my skin in the chest area? I'am positive there is
no known reason or logical reason to explain this piece of metal
lodged in my chest. By that i mean I am not an war veteran or
ever participated in guns, gangs or other that would account for
something of this sort. I didn't dare bring this subject up with
my doctor today because of fear of ridicule. Is there some place
or persons that could remove this piece of metal as my doctor
calls it to know certain what it may be.
