According to Jacques Vallee's journal (Forbidden Science, The
Vallee Living Trust Ed., 1992), Hynek came in Paris in 1958 -
the January 21, 1962 notice says "four years ago" - to meet with
Michel and Guerin (the French astronomer). Vallee suggests that
Hynek travelled with Gerard de Vaucouleurs (another French
astronomer established in Texas) but this is not clearly stated.
When Michel showed Hynek his dossiers, the latter had this funny
comment: "At least YOU know what happened!" Hynek had another
opportunity to spend some days in Paris in March 1968, on his
way back from Prague - but did not see Aime Michel during this
stay. (Same source).
