Subject: Re: Ken Arnold's Call Air & Deltoid Pumpkins

Hello again all,

I have returned from my skiing adventures and encounter with
an Unidentified Flying Snowboardist.

While I am healing, I noticed a couple of threads: One ,the
question of Arnold's Call Air A2, good airplane, been around a
couple, superior to the Piper Supercub, 25 or so built only a
handful still flying (4-5).

The Call Air line was eventually only into Ag Aircraft and
eventually absorbed by Rockwell. Two the Deltoid Pumpkin seed
has me bugged. It seems that I remember either the designer or
the Areon Co. was orginally attatched to a Christian missionary

I also remember this occured in the mid 60's and their 'pumpkin
seed' actually flew propelled by a small horizontally opposed
(clylinder arrangement) engine. The goal, as I recall was to use
the ol' Deltoid for missionary work.
