Hi Fabrizio,

And good questions they are. If I may put them into perspective
with an antidote....er, anecdote:

I was in a doctors office a few days ago. I chanced to notice a
sign on the door while waiting the prerequisite half-hour
between nurse and doctor appearances. The sign indicated that
flu shots were now being dispensed, and would I care for one?

When the doctor entered (yup, half an hour exactly) I mentioned
the sign, and asked how one inoculates against a virus that is
not the same virus from one week to the next. He proceeded to
explain that flu shots were pretty much placebos and nothing
more. He further explained that they had no way of knowing if
patients avoided the flu by luck or through the inoculation, and
therefore any results could not be verified. "It's also a dandy
way for the hospital to pick up a few extra bucks," I mused

Anyway, my point is that they can't even get the most prolific
virus in the world to fall in line, what makes anyone think they
can fight a completely alien bug/germ/microbe/disease/nasty
thing? Sounds like someone's looking for funding, and a nice
cover story is being floated.
