I certainly do not claim to be an expert, or even overly
knowledgeable about the government or the military's actual
policy of punishment for misuse of information. But one example
which I have personally witnessed is the simple fact that the
warning signs at the military border of Area 51 clearly state
"Use of deadly force authorized." I understanding that
trespassing on govt. property, and revealing classified
information are two different things, but surely they both stem
from a desire for secrecy?

The simple fact that there is a sign which declares the right to
use deadly force should be evidence enough for the military's
position regarding the protection of their own privacy. As far
as I know, although it is authorized, deadly force has never
been used or even attempted along the border of America's most
popular secret base.

But surely, that is a distinction which is worth considering-
the authorization of such force versus the actual use of said
