They sure as heck weren't dry when I was there for the 50th
anniversary celebration. If they had been, Jim Mosely and I
probably wouldn't have hung around for as long as we did!

In fact, I saw several signs out front of eating establishments
advertising some sort of new drink concoction with "alien" in
the title. Seems like almost everyplace had one, to go with the
alien burgers and fries.

If I'd known barns were ultimately going to be a Roswell issue,
too, I would have paid more attention, although that probably
would have meant drinking less.

I suspect that all the barns had burned down just before Bob
Shell passed through because of a shortage of lightning rods,
although it could be more mysterious (and sinister) than that.
Maybe we'd better put Michael Hesseman on it. I suspect the
aliens are collecting barns. (You gotta put all that hybridized
wheat from the crop circles somewhere, not to mention all them
harvested animal parts.)
