I've been reading the mail on the subject of NASA for months now
and finally see my way clear to a comment or two. I had been
associated with NASA since 1966 and thru about 1988 or so. My
association was as an employee of contractors as well as
consultative. I always look for that black buck, as I like to
call it. I never found one. Not there.

Nor did I ever see even a hint of cover-up. Not to say it does
not exist, just that old snoopy drawers (me) never picked up on
anything even remotely resembling NASA holding out.... it is
just not their charter. It isn't their style either. That
insult belongs to the military.

In my opinion at least, too much credit is given them for
holding out, although I am sure they (the military) have held
out substantially, we assign them more credit and brains than
they deserve.

What programs? Mostly unmanned exploratory stable platforms for
astronomical spacecraft and some manned missions... I was the
one that used to enjoy getting VIP's sick on the simulated Lunar
Rover in that radar dome at Gremlin Airtrash. One VIP actually
launched his lunch vector style right onto the moving belt
simulating the lunar surface. You know, the one that covers a
hollow globe with a SAAB two stroker inside for mobility?
