John

I agree, whatever theory put forward should be examined by those
who experience it. I would also like to mention that I have
investigated a few alleged abduction cases. I say alleged
because some of them where not in my opinion _actual_
abductions.

One particular case I investigated a while back involved a
married couple. They where both psychically "attuned" to each
other and could tell when one was nearby, even though sight was
not possible. This was demonstrated to me.

On several occasions the man awoke in the middle of the night
and claimed that his wife's _presence_ had left and was not
there next to him in bed, he also said that he could not move to
look to actually see if she was there or not, he just could not
feel her presence. After I interviewed both of them I surmised,
(but of course could not prove) that the women was having
spontaneous OOBE's and when the husband woke up and did not feel
her psychic presence there he went into some kind of mild shock
which did not allow him to move his head to actually look.

The young lady in question did not for one instant believe that
she was being abducted, whilst the husband, an ardent ufo buff,
was positive that she was being abducted. She had no memories,
no "missing time", nothing. My conclusion was therefore held
basic muster from the experiencer's husband and his wife, he
might not have agreed with it but he did agree that it was more
likely.

Did I leave the table satisfied I had an answer, yes. Was I
upset that it wasn't a _real_ abduction, no. Because I wouldn't
wish that on anyone.
