John, you would certainly have been very justified if your
response to my e-mail reply was a lot more severe. People's
privacy must be respected and protected. Although my e-mail
reply was addressed to you with a blind carbon copy sent to a
mutual friend of ours who was also present at that dinner in
Toronto, I regret and accept full blame that it somehow ended up
on UFO UpDates.

There are very few published accounts of such spontaneous
remissions or cures associated with UFO experiences or alien
encounters that I know of. Are you familiar with many more such
cases? Is this something that has been overlooked that should be
investigated further (while maintaining the full privacy of all
the individuals involved, of course)? Are there other things
that may have also been overlooked or not generally reported
which are common to many experiencers?

John, on UFO UpDates you have mentioned about an experience your
mother had which she understood as a religious one. You had a
different interpretation of it. Did your mother's experience
pre-date the strangeness in your life? Could it be that all such
experiences are part of the same phenomena, and if so, cannot be
studied in isolation if we hope to truly understand what is
