Hello Sir Richard and all.

I should know better than to answer emails at this hour, but
what the heck.

It occurs to me that UFOs and all matters connected attract
psychotics like a porch lamp attracts moths.

Other paranormal studies, those I know much less about, have the
same problem of course, but seem somehow partially immune.

"Heavens Gate" did not congregate around Loch Ness Monster
matters. ESP has its believers and no lack of fuzz-brains, but
not with the same intensity UFOs seem to evoke.

On the one hand, you have people who are curious if not enrapt
in an apparent (UFO) mystery, and try to make some sense of it.
I prefer to include myself in this group.

On the other hand, there are those who at least try to use UFOs
as a way of validating their personal war on reality. (No need
for names, they announce themselves.)

Perhaps is is some quasi-religious thread, the thought of a
greater intelligence, which drives the moth-persons of the world
to ufology.

I wish they would select some other Lumiere dans la Nuit.
Cooper? I just feel sorry for the cop he shot, his family and
friends.

Best wishes

- Larry Hatch [burp!]
