Hiya Roy, Dave, All,

I have to agree with Dave on this one. Camera lenses are
composed of multiple elements. The number and variety of
reflections that can (potentially) happen are almost infinite if
a stray beam or flash of light is reflected back into the lens
during the exposure. I'm sure that Bob Shell (if he's listening)
could elaborate on this multi-surface aspect of camera lens
construction and how light can get bounced around inside of

"Direction" doesn't matter with lens reflections. Depending on
how many times a stray beam is bounced inside the lens assembly
reflections can appear to originate from just about any
direction. Like ehoes in a big canyon. Hard to tell which
direction the original sound came from.

And, this is just a 'suggestion' as to how the 'lights'
manifested themselves in your photo. For all any of us really
knows, you may very well have captured an image of something
truly anomalous.

 >Also, look closely enough at the water droplet on the top of the

Which means that the light can be reflected right back at the lens
from just about any reflective surfaces in the foreground.

Sorry for delay in response Roy. Some of us still have to work
for a living, and time for the List can be hard to schedule when
the demands of keeping a roof over ones head and food on the
table take precedence. I looked at the pix in Photoshop the same
day you posted them. I was meaning to post sooner. Just busy
amigo. I'm sure others are just as preoccupied now that the
holiday season is upon us. Don't take the lack of responses
personally. In case you haven't noticed, the List has been
'dead' on any and all running threads. Folks are just otherwise
preoccupied at the moment. ;)
