Hello David and all,

<snip>

James' position is logical and quite consistent.

Any serious student of the UFO phenomena is bound to reach the
inescapable conclusion that there MUST be something out there
that is outside the boundaries of the human experience.

If you reach the conclusion that there is nothing there, that
allcases are - will be - explainable, then one should suspect
that you haven't studied enough, or that you didn't catch it, or
that you'll never understand it, or you'll never admit it.

We should not be surprised by those blind points, voluntary
omissions, short, middle and long term amnesia, selective
recollections and so forth. They are the trademark and the
essentials of the debunkers: one must be wery well equiped to
negate reality and have the facts fit the beliefs.

My take is that debunkers have egos so big that that it prevents
them from admitting the evidence. They made the wrong choice
from the start ("there is nothing out there") and will never
admit that they were wrong.

Ufologists have the same inflated egos, mind you, but the
difference is that, luckily for them, they made the right choice
from the start: there is something there.

Regards,

Serge
