Subject: The Last Open Letter To Linda Moulton Howe

To the International UFO Community:
To: Linda Moulton Howe <earthfiles@earthfiles.com>

I have just visited Linda Moulton Howe's website:

and I noticed that she really has no limits to her absurd
campaign of promoting the biggest Brazilian UFO fraud ever, the
fabricated abduction of Urandir Fernandes de Oliveira. It is a
sad thing.

I reached to that conclusion by observing her conduct towards
this case today, as did many members of the international UFO
community, who sent me e-mail messages. In face of that, up to
this point, when nearly everything was tried to show her how
poor her investigationis is over that case and how deceiving are
her reports, I just give up helping her to see what she refuses
to see and tell her what she refuses to hear.

It seems just useless and a waste of my time to show to this
"investigative reporter" the very single points that she
entirely missed when she started this campaign, that she calls an
investigation. I don't know what motivates Linda Moulton Howe
to keep this up and the risk to her credibility and reputation is
all hers.

However, in Linda Moulton Howe's report, today, there is a
serious accusation coming from her toward me, that needs to be
corrected, as it is a lie. While interviewing Urandir Fernandes
de Oliveira's business associate, Felipe Castelo Branco, she

"Felipe Branco, Owner, Fazenda Castelo, Campo Grande, Mato
Grosso do Sul, Brazil:

"One of the allegations is that Urandir Oliveira had two or
three bed sheets and Gevaerd is showing the photographs on a
website saying, 'Look at the difference in color.' Charlette Le
Fevre and Gevaerd are also saying that Urandir Oliveira beat up
his first wife. They are saying that he is a crook, that he is
guilty of land fraud, that he was put in jail, there is the
photograph of Urandir behind bars, that it's been a cult, like a
Jim Jones cult...."

After reading this statement, to my great surprise, I observed
that Linda Moulton Howe implies that I have published, via the
Internet, that Urandir Fernandes de Oliveira used to beat his ex-
wife. I don't know where she got such information from, so
I ran a lot of searches on several websites and found nothing on
that matter.

I have never published that and even having in my possession a
lot of revolting information about Urandir Fernandes de
Oliveira's background and personal activities since he was a
teenager, I have never published either in the Brazilian UFO
Magazine, or the on the internet, any details of what he did to
his ex-wife or does to his present wife. It was Linda Moulton
Howe, herself, who confirmed over the phone to Charlette LeFreve
that Urandir Fernandes de Oliveira beat his ex-wife.

I simply don't care about Urandir Fernandes de Oliveira personal
life. My function in this situation, as a responsible UFO
researcher, is to expose his activities in the UFO field as a
total fraud. I have plenty of information from all his
activities and there is not a single question about it. And I
have always stated, as I will do it as many times as necessary,
that when it comes to Ufology, he is a complete phony.

I regret that in her blind and deaf campaign to make this
fabricated abduction stand as a genuine one, against each and
every piece of evidence that shows the contrary, Linda Moulton
Howe has come this far. I sincerely hope that she wakes up some
day and realizes that, by supporting a hoax such as this, she is
hurting not only her reputation and credibility, but also the
UFO field as a whole.

PS.: I obviously won't comment about other absurdities published by
Linda Moulton Howe in her report today, either coming from her
or from her interviewee, Felipe Castelo Branco. Her word means
very little to me to this point and his word, as Urandir
Fernandes de Oliveira's partner in the outrageous scam, never
meant anything at all.
