While a variety of different theories for Roswell have been
discussed on this List and on various TV shows, there is one
issue that is seldom (ever maybe?) discussed on Roswell TV
documentaries that are Mogul-biased and it's this: the question
of why, exactly, the USAF published its Mogul report in the
first place.

All that the USAF was supposed to do was respond to the General
Accounting Office's inquiry for access to any and all documents
that might assist the GAO's search as per the original Schiff
inquiry - and then let the GAO get on with its work.

Instead, the USAF went full-steam ahead to get their report into
the public domain (and into the mainstream media) before the GAO
even had chance to finish its own report.

Those who refuse to consider the idea of a conspiracy
surrounding Roswell to this day would perhaps argue that the
USAF was merely trying to be helpful by putting forth the Mogul
angle, and seeking to offer an honest opinion.

On the other hand, I see damage control at work, possibly borne
out of a real initial concern that the GAO might actually turn
up something.

I just wish occasionally on some of these pro-Mogul shows, this
angle of why the USAF chose not to sit back and let the GAO
handle things their way would be debated more.
