It should also be pointed out that Cavitt claimed that the
wreckage was immediately recognized by him as a balloon, covered
an area only 20 feet square, and would easily fit in one

Even the RDR coverup story on July 9 claimed the wreckage
covered an area 200 yards in diameter.

Furthermore, if that was all there had been, Brazel would have
brought it in to town and there would have been no reason for
Cavitt and Marcel to follow him out to the site at all.

It should also be noted that Weaver told Cavitt that USAF
Secretary Widnall had given approval for Cavitt to talk to
Weaver about anything.
