I didn't find the Galganski article convincing. Seems to be a
circular bootstrap argument that tacitly assumes the amount of
radar-target foil debris then tries to fool the reader into
thinking that the amount of foil was actually determined by
highly complex mathematics. It was not.

It is very difficult trying to convert subjective witness
impressions decades after the fact into quantitative estimates
of the amount of foil at the Brazel Debris Field. There is
really no way to tell if Marcel, or whomever, saw one shiny
piece of foil glittering in the sun and catching the eye every
100 feet or so, or every 10 feet or every 1 foot, or whatever.

No one ever bothered to ask these witnesses such a question
while they were still alive. Even better than asking an abstract
question like that would be to take the witness out to the
actual debris field and have them estimate by walking and
pointing how far apart each piece of foil appeared to be on
average, or taking pieces of actual foil and scattering them to
see what looked closest to what they remembered. This is called
"calibrating the witness." It was never done.

If there were say five Mogul radar foil targets of about twenty
square feet, and assuming half broke up into 1-foot pieces, the
other half into 4-inch pieces (the smallest size reported by
Marcel), you would have about 500 pieces altogether. If average
spread was about 50 feet apart between each piece of foil these
pieces could easily cover an area about 3/4 mile long and say
300 feet wide (one estimate by Marcel but conflicting with other
smaller estimates of the area covered).

You mean the alleged Mogul Flight 4 on June 4, 1947, that was
canceled according to project scientist Albert Crary's diary
notes then seemingly launched after all, for some unexplained
reason, and even equipped with their Watson Labs sonobuoy CRT-

C B Moore claims he has calculated the wind patterns and and
likely balloon flight profile to prove that this Flight 4
balloon would have landed "exactly" at the Brazel Debris Field.
In fact as I and David Rudiak have exhaustively shown, Moore
fudged his figures, botched simple math, fabricated his maps, in
an effort to force-fit this purported landing "exactly" at the
Debris Field. An unforced realistic flight profile computed by
Rudiak would put the balloon far away from the "UFO" site.

Though that doesn't absolutely prove the balloon went elsewhere
it makes it very unlikely to have landed anywhere close to the
Foster Ranch. More importantly, no witness found or saw any of
the Mogul-unique materials like the 600 feet of nylon cords or
the ballast tubing, etc.
