Steve, Gildas, List, All -

Cavitt died a number of years ago. I met with him on several
occasions. He told me in our first meeting that he had never
gone out to pick up any balloons and that he was even in Roswell
at the time.

In a later interview he showed me his orders assigning him to
Roswell but said that he hadn't arrived until after July 4.
Later he amended that, saying that he had gone out with Marcel
or Rickett and that the other might have been there. He told
Col. Weaver that he recognized the debris as a balloon as soon
as he saw it, but didn't explain why he had never bothered to
mention this to either Marcel or Col. Blanchard.

Cavitt said it was a balloon... Marcel said that it was
something that had come to Earth but that wasn't made on
Earth... Mack Brazel never volunteered much information and died
in the 1960s.

So, pick you witness and you have the information you want...
Ignore the other.
