Right James,

Yet the real issue is, as I think someone has already pointed
out, we can expect many or at least some less advanced, less
intellectual and less altruistic groups also to be in the process
of evolving to your theoretical ideal state.

Can we rely on luck or 'guardianship' of some kind to keep us
from their attentions in the meantime?
