While following this debate, and I use the term debate loosely.
Its more akin to a ufological tennis match with the opponents
supositional balls zooming back and forth, with an occasional
bit of conjectural spin included for good measure.

With the distant echo of the McEnroe cry of "Are you serious"
one comes away bemused and rather anxious that all the hot air
generated may be having an adverse affect on the planet.

You are all wrong of course, the answer is that on the demise of
Mars they all moved here lock, stock, and barrel shaped craft.
And are undoubably living in the sea.

Am I wrong? well prove it, ETH you say? Well prove it,
and so it goes, round and round.

Memo to SETI: Stop wasting your time sending signals into space.

Go to any sea shore and call yoo-hoo, come out, come out, we
know your in there.

What may appear to someone entering the UFO arena as a rather
frothy, slightly unhinged pursuit, on closer examination the true
enormity of the parameters that encompass ufology soon manifest

Scratch any ufologist and you will find a man or woman who by
necessity has had to delve into almost every branch of Science.
Psychology, sociology, anthropology, archaeology, mathematics,
physics etc. etc.

A search driven in part not only for enlightenment, but also for
concrete facts.

Without facts we are at the mercy of any half baked premise.
We have to endure conjecture dressed up as Eureka.

We dumb down in a ceaseless search for a gem ,a nugget, a
strand, just one fleeting factual insight is all we ask.

So what's the answer? in many ways ufology has reached an
impasse. If a cognitive approach has not worked, would proactive
ufology be the way forward?

What if I suggested a two hundred mile wide laser lit UFO
silhouette on a desert?

Would it get a reaction? Who knows, but perhaps marginally
better than looking under your bed at night to see if its
harbouring an alien nest.
