Hi. It is the first time I post.

A few words about me: I am Venezuelan and I am 31 years old.
Since my teen years I have followed the UFO subject as close as
I could. I subscribed to the List to have more sources and to
follow today's news on the matter, so normally I will not send
any messages because the level of UFO UpDates is above my
capacity, I think.

That's my rule on all Lists I am subscribed to, by the way, but
this one is my first in English and I am happy to find here
persons like Jerome Clark, Richard Hall, Stanton Friedman and
others. I have read Scott Corrales on other Lists, for example.
I have tried to get your works and to study it as far as I

It is a privilege for me to read you.

Today I decided to write for the first time here due to the
comments Mr. Jerome Clark made about John Keel. For me, Keel has
been one of the more impressive UFO authors I have read and
frankly, I admire him. I think that his work deserves serious

Have you seen today's news? 250 persons have died in suicide truck
bombings in Iraq and those people were Yazidis, a sect that was
covered by John Keel on his 1957 (re-edited in 1970) book Jadoo.

Also I want to comment that in the ufocasebook.com forums I have
meet a person (AJC is his username on those forums) that says
that he was in contact with Keel at the time he was preparing
his book Strange Creatures From Time And Space. He was
investigated by Keel and by Berthold Schwarz in the 60s. He told
me that his name was in Keel's book but since I now don't have
my copy I can't check it. So if anybody is interested here are
the two links of my brief conversations with AJC on the
ufocasebook.com forums:

My nick there is jmcc.

Also I want to know if any of you know something about Raymond
Bayless, co-author with D. Scott Rogo of some books about the
paranormal. Around two years ago I found a brief comment of
something like one line in a webpage that gave me the impression
that Bayless died recently and I just want to know if someone
can give more details about him.

Finally, once more I want to give you thanks for the opportunity
of being here and receiving your posts.

Thanks a lot,

Jorge Caldeira
