Respectfully, you seem not to understand the business of
film/video production. In your scenario, said producer would be
literally giving up control of the video to the subject. I
cannot imagine any film producer doing such a thing (this is a
far cry from standard contractual obligations on the part of the

Yes, the goofy lighting and soundtracks are lame. And yes,
giving the skeptics (or, worse, the idiots in alien costume) the
last word is a drag. But your suggestion seems to me to be the
perfect way to not get one's phone calls returned.

And if any researcher chooses to edit their own interview then
they might as well produce their own video.
