I have seen the other replies and I think your ideas _do_ have
some merit Eleanor. The flyer handout is also a very good one.
While some producers of _docu-taintments_ of this subject matter
_do_ want full and abolute control, I think the serious
producers looking for brutal truths may not object. At least the
researcher could ask for the time, and if the answer was no,
then decide to either do or not do the interview.

For somoething like Larry King's show with Stanton and _scarey_
Shirmer and others, I don't think having final editorial
minutes would be possible since it was a panel. The editing a
minute of rebutal by the researcher may not be fully realized in
the short term, but if many researchers simply _asked_ for it
while not demanding it... it might come about.

We don't know for sure until people try. But we _have_ to do
something to shift mainstream coverage of the topic. The
_giggle_ factor must be removed from the debate. And tell
producers to find a more crediable debunker than Shirmer, like
Seth Shostak, if he has the courage to do it.
