Subject: Is Earth - Titan-Typical Of 'Solar Systems'?

Hello List,

We've been told that 'life' needs various things but it all seems
to boil down to organic life - like us - needing atmosphere and
liquid (solvent). Not necessarily the 'perfect' oxygen or the
'perfect' H2O, because evolution doesn't deal with 'theoretical
ideals', it takes what's available.

Recent data from ESA's Cassini-Huygens shows atmosphere (clouds)
and liquids (lakes / seas) - at:

"Cassini images mammoth cloud engulfing Titan's North Pole"

We're beginning to learn that planets (and moons) seem to be the
norm rather than the exception - even close by.

So perhaps we should be re-evaluating several factors in the
Drake Equation?

"It is difficult to imagine a habitat that could not support a
suitable form of life".

BTW - don't forget (I can't) all those sulfur related reports.

Cheers
