Yes, both 'C' words have many things in common. I guess the
main deciding factor would be that humans would be in control
of their own destiny, not an outside force. Let humans decide
their own course of action, Free Will.

We could only pray that an alien rebel with a heart of gold
would experience 'humanness' and would be willing to sacrifice
their own existence in order to free humanity from any state of
slavery or extinction.

I question why Vallee thinks himself immune from the
'deceptiveness' of the phenomena. I won't speculate on magic and
elves, but all of the phenomena can be explained rationally and
scientifically. Put yourself in 'their' shoes. They are
protecting something. This is their weakness.

Are you immune to their 'deceptiveness?' They are one.
