I now find myself wincing when you make a new announcement that
_this_ time, we have the really-real identical train wheel that
passes every test, all doubt has been removed, the case is
solved, etc.

My best estimate for the outer rim to inner hub diameter ratio
for this latest hopeful is, at most, 1.27. This is noticeably
less than the low end of the range for the Heflin object, which
I would put at 1.32 for the poorly resolved frame #3. Using the
better-resolved frame #1, the ratio is at least 1.39.

At this point you are 0 for 3, without having to consider more
than a single geometric parameter. I fear that if you do
actually find the holy grail train wheel, no one is going to pay
attention. John Scheldroup has calmly pointed out an intriguing
image whose resemblance to the Heflin object is undeniable and
difficult to ignore. We understand that a hoax is a real
possibility. Continually pronouncing that one has been
established based on the images you cite is affecting your own
credibility more than Heflin's.
