That kind of statement is the reason he gets the air time he does
on NBC and other news program. "Nothing compelling" even though
he doesn't know anything about the episode. He's a safe 'sane'
[as compared to the rest of us infected idiots] 'expert' for them
to call on. He's also managed to insult and further marginalize
the witnesses at O'Hare most of whom have more expertize in their
area than he does.

It's a liveihood for Oberg. He does well being an 'expert' in
this area - if you want to call kneejerk responses as expert. If
he was being factual he would have said he was taking a wait and
see attitude before passing judgement. But he chose to stay on
the good side of the FAA and shot from the lip.

It's fast appearing to be so, Fred. The FAA's weather
phenomenon/light reflection explanation was very weak lacking
any credibility with bogus times as well.
