An excellent article. Well worth the read.

An additional concern about individuals wanting to 'shout out:
we are here!' is an example of the callus approach of scientists
involved in weather weaponizing and what that 'science' is doing
to the Earth's environment.

Arrogance will be the down fall of humanity. Long before we
interact with any other civilization. And, there are attempts to
determine where and if there are other civilizations 'out

The upcoming Kepler Mission, and at least one other one directed
by NASA. In this morning's Arizona Daily Star provided a
discussion of the Life Start-Up Pod to be planted on the Moon
ahead of the manned Mars mission. That's right, there will be a
Moon base from which exploration missions will take off.

It would be too bad as humanity moves off the planet in real
ways it might be setting itself up to be destroyed by an
advanced civilization. Carl Sagan's warning.
