Feschino's book, notwithstanding Stan Friedman's mystifying
endorsement, is wild and nonsensical science fiction. One of the
many whoppers he profers is Air Force interceptors being
launched to chase the UFOs from Air Force bases that didn't have
any jet interceptors, such as Keesler AFB, Miss., where I was
stationed in 1950. I also happen to know the base historian. It
was and is a training base, and I used to hang out with a friend
on the flightline. They had trainer jets, C-47's, etc., but were
not a fighter or bomber (TAC or SAC) base.

By coincidence I recently heard from one of the Flatwoods
witnesses who, in a letter, was strongly critical of Feschino's
reporting. Something extraordinary probably occurred there, but
grabage books like this one will only confuse the issues rather
than shed any light on what it was. One shouldn't have to sift
out the credible testimony from a garbage heap.
