Bob is correct.

The bottom line is that the best a photo can do is act as an
aide to the witness' memory as to what the object looked like.

The 'worst' it can do is provide evidence of a fake, such as the
presence of a string supporting a model, or a real inconsistency
with the story of how it was taken.

Virtually any photo could be faked given enough time, expertise
and desire to fake. Theat means that one must investigate the
photographer to determine whether or not there is any evidence
of capability and motive to create such a fake.
