Amen to this latter comment. Very interesting and important
discussion, and both of you gentlemen have made some excellent
points. I have observed both of you applying some good science
to UFOs.

I formally studied logic and scientific method, but am not a
practicing or formally credentialled scientist (unless you
define 'scientist' as someone regardless of profession who
actually applies logic and scientific method to problem
solving).

Dr. Donald H. Menzel and Dr. E.U. Condon were 'real' scientists,
and look at their outrageously unscientific utterances about
UFOs. Also Dr. Roy Craig, Dr. Urner Liddell, and many others
that could be named. I knew and interacted personally with both
Menzel and Condon. However, I also knew and was a close friend
of Jim McDonald, so I saw and experienced both extremes of
science/non-science as applied to UFOs.
