I know just what you mean David. Only the other day I heard of someone who was visiting a friend when a difficult documentary about the horrors of the Gulf War came on the TV. With a sigh the host grabbed the remote and switched to a soap opera. Well there's only so much of that sort of stuff one can take just after dinner. "Nothing to do with me anyway," he said.
