Before buying into the Air Force 'propaganda' you have to
realize that when they say "no UFO" represented tech or
principles beyond modern understanding, they - Blue Book
primarily - had already 'thrown away' or ignored the sightings
that could not be explained.

Their statements are based on faulty or incomplete or even
fraudulent analysis of sighting data.

When Blue Book closed there were still about 700 unexplained
sightings. How do they know that none of these represented
something entirely new?

Their argument was that _most_ cases could be explained and so
it was probable that _with_more_information_ these unexplained
sightings could also be explained.

How did they know that it was "probable?" They didn't. This was
just a cop out to 'explain the unexplainable'.

During the largest statistical study of sightings, published as
Special Report #14 in 1955, the analysts made a special effort
to separate the cases for which there was insufficient
information from those which had enough information for either
identification as a known phenomenon - the Knowns - or enough
information to indicate that they couldn't be explained - the
Unknowns.

That study, which was mostly ignored by the U.S. Air Force after
its publication - and completely ignored by the Condon Study in
1967/68 - contradicts the AF official position as stated above.

Information on and analysis of Special Report #14 can now be

the original statistical data.
