I assume that Greg was refering to the Hoagland event to promote
his latest book that was held last wednesday.

Me neither. As the Hoagland thing shows, pretty much anyone can
hold a promotional "press conference" at the NPC, so its just
that much less of a big deal.

>The fact that a former Governor is heading up the Panel, ...

That would presume that all former Governors are a) people I
should trust; and b) relatively sane individuals. I'm not
particularly confident that either of those two criteria will
always be met.

I'm speaking generally here, and this should not be taken as a
slur against Mr Symington himself.

The world is full of cranks. Perhaps surprisingly, the US
doesn't have a monopoly on misguided or just plain crazy people
with an agenda. The fact that people would be willing to fly
over is, in itself, not a sound reason for attaching any greater
credibility to this.

Again, I'm speaking generally.

That said, I've seen the early version of "Out of the Blue" and
I was quite impressed. I'm looking forward to seeing video of
the presentation (and the final version of the film).
