If you define the 'center' of Phoenix as the intersection of
Interstate 10 (running east-west) where it meets Interstate 17 -
running North from its intesection with 10 - then Squaw Peak is
a mountain 7 - 8 miles Northeast of the center, at the Eastern
edge, I guess, of Sunny Slope.

Lynn Kitei's house is essentially on the south side of Squaw

Frances Barwood told me that Symington lived on the North-side
of Camelback Mountain which is Southeast of Squaw Peak, so if he
was at home, or near home, when it happened and he saw it go
over Squaw Peak, then he was looking Northwestward at it. And,
Camelback mountain my well have blocked his view to the South.
