Hi Don,

Regardless of what Kathy wrote, I remember with real bitterness,
and I do mean bitterness, that Phoenix council press conference
with that moron that strode out dressed up as an alien.

We are all used to ridicule and being discrete about to whom and
how we discuss our interest, and we've all long ago accepted it
goes with the territory. But that one really stuck in the craw
for me. Above all else, what a statement it made about the
council's attitude to a sizeable number of its electorate. And
then a few years later he goes and says, "Well
actually..."

Good luck to him now and I wish him the best. His face is
testament to the fact that he's had a hard time in recent years,
and it would have taken some courage as well to turn it round as
he did.

But if some resentment remains, I can understand it.

Stuart
