Awesome. Glad to see you upper-echelon Ufologists showing the
kind of comraderie that's needed Mr. Hall.

It's good to see the conference hit the wires with some good
strength too.

From one end of the planet to the other there are wire news
stories and blogs and message boards abuzz about the conference
and of course the lack of the mainstream press to headline it.
Even the Drudge Report didn't headline it and had it done so it
would have sent shockwaves around the world.

I disagree however with these soft stepping attempts to get the
mainstream press to pay attention. I have armies of friends in
the press. I grew up in the press. I know for a fact dozens and
dozens of media folk who are witnesses and abductees and privvy
to bona fide physical and testimonial evidence but they're not
willing to risk their skins by breaking ranks. They'll tell you
it's because the issue of UFOs has not reached anywhere near a
volatile level.

In other words, it's interesting for slice_of_life stories but
blazing headlines or top of the hour breaking news, no way.

We have to stop and look at things here. What we're professing
and how we're reacting to it.

We're saying the planet is and has been invaded by alien beings
who kidnap and experiment on us. Some of these experiments are
painful, some ghastly, some beneficial. We're talking about a
total invalidation of every facet of our national security being
breached by these beings. We're talking Ma, Pa, Grandma and Mrs.
Cleaver and the Beaver down the street suffering unimaginable
terrors that can lead to debilitating psychological results, but
we're going to handle that problem by 'discussing' the issue.

What?

Oh, I get it, let's address the evil terrorists bent on our
demise by 'discussing' the issue and pushing for more red tape
investigations.

Our asses are in immediate danger or they're not and to me,
being kidnapped by hideous creatures and used as a lab rat is
far more than enough grist-for-the-mill for outright screaming
and stomping my feet at the authorities. To hell with them if
they call someone crazy, we're not the ones invading other
people's countries and blowing up stuff on false reports.

I think it's an old Celtic saying that "The stew is either on
the boil or tis not!"

Best,

Greg
