Whether UFOs are real or not, Morrison's article fails basic standards of logic. It makes me wonder about the quality of his degree in astrobiology. Meteor showers, Comet Holmes, and tornadoes are all events with high levels of predictability. Obviously, there will be many more photos of these objects than UFOs! UFO sightings are _not_ predictable events and 90% of the ones that occur are improper identifications. Morrison's attempt to compare the frequency of evidence available for non-predictable events to predictable events is not worthy of a first year high school debater, let alone a scientist.
