Thanks, Kentaro.

I had earlier considered making a response to the above comment,
but decided it wasn't worth the effort, however since you have
made the effort to do so it only seems right that I do.

Like yourself, I don't intend to play down the role played by AJ
in securing the release of the Brazilian files, but his
"administrative decision" remark does play down the roles played
by other researchers across the world, not least in the USA,
Canada, Australia and here in the UK.

I can sort of understand his attitude to myself, Dave Clarke,
and Gary Anthony since he is a Popophile, and he is just
parroting Pope's comments in regard to the release. This is
disappointing especially since during an exchange I and AJ had
on this List concerning Pope a year ago at:

AJ wrote:

"Nick is my friend and a good friend, but we are also preparing
our own interview with him for the Brazilian UFO Magazine. It is
going to be very detailled and I will take your questions into
consideration when doing so, thanks! If you have other
questions, just send them over and I will include them."

I furnished AJ (via Thiago Ticchetti) with information and
questions intended to examine Pope's real level of involvement
during his spell on the "UFO desk". I have had no feedback from
AJ or Thiago since then so when I have a little time, I will
publish the information which they have apparently suppressed so
people can see for themselves exactly what Pope's involvement
was or wasn't.

As for what led up to the release of the documents in the UK, an
article was lost during a transfer of web hosting services, but
it can still be viewed on the "wayback" machine at:

which describes how the UK MoD decision to release the files en-
bloc came about. It was an administrative decision, but a
decision made under duress created by a handful of British
