What is most striking to me is that only one has a degree in a
hard science-related field, while several have
backgrounds/training in psychology, and some are

Its not clear whether they do a lot of abduction
research/writing because they are not trained to do highly
technical (photographic, physics etc) or nuts-and-bolts
research, or whether they don't have an interest in these so
have trained in other 'softer' fields. In either case, there
seems a relationship between research interest and educational

Are there no women physicists, astronomers, engineers, etc
interested in Ufology?
