John, a harsher person than me would say those are weasel words (deceptive euphemisms), as we can see by looking at the original proposal: --- "Request for participation in Psychology dissertation study (University of Northampton) on UFO belief Participants are requested for a Psychology dissertation research study, exploring how our beliefs affect the way we process new information. This is a new study which will hopefully develop further understanding in UFO belief, specifically with regard to some UFOs having an extraterrestrial cause. Whether you believe, are sceptical, or are unsure.this study is for you!" --- Clearly the psychologists wanted three easily-labelled cohorts: 'believers' 'skeptics' and waverers. It's also clear that the 'investigation' was not at all interested in actual UFO evidence or its credibility. If it had been, we could all recommend available documented stuff: UFO: Black Box UFOs http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8614351526846808167 Out of the Blue: UFO Documentary http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBRX2OwnfY8 Fastwalkers - UFO Documentary http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhAU3G3M-Nw UFO The Greatest Story Ever Denied http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8T0ckf005qo and many more official recordings at: http://www.perceptions.couk.com/ufo-uap.html So no John, sadly it looks like the psychologists are playing the same game as the Gov't psychiatrist during the sighting described below: US Navy pilot Commander Graham Bethune's encounter with a 300ft discoid UFO in 1951 on the way back from a classified mission to Iceland: "We had 31 people on board and a psychiatrist, we all witnessed it". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_MyJJ0OikA To paraphrase him, in a more relaxed interview he told how he went back into the passenger compartment, where all the passengers (bar one) were glued to the (starboard?) windows, watching the UFO which was still pacing the aircraft. Knowing the importance of the psychiatrist passenger Bethune went down the aisle to his seat at the back of the aircraft. "Did you see it?" he asked. The psychiatrist replied - "Everybody saw it - but I didn't look - I don't believe in such things" with a conspiratorial smile. I.e. - he was strongly hinting: "They'll try to say you're crazy". Such is the hypocrisy (and schizophrenia) of most of our western scientific community - as you can see from some of the videos above. Cheers Ray D Listen to 'Strange Days...
