I think the uproar over this study is because individuals who
want to "bring forward" the opinion and views of "witnesses"
usually are half-hearted (as you point out) and don't get to the
what is really happening.

Look, while I was still on UCLA's Human Subject Protection
Committee, I reviewed Dr. John Mack's questionnaire developed by
his PEER group and found it wanting.

I wrote to Harvard's HSPC providing my notes concerning the ICF.
That's right, I guess I was one of the opinions that was heard
by his institution and he was brought up for questioning by that

Bottomline: I thought Mack's questionnaire was skewed just as
your comment about this particular study under discussion.
