I have always been curious >about it. Yarns like this - ones linking national leaders to direct observation of aliens or their remains - have circulated since the early days of the UFO controversy. In 1955 Tom Comella, publisher of an Ohio-based saucer newsletter, wrote that President Truman, "his top aides and generals were supposed to have attended" a meeting with ETs in Alaska in the middle of 1948. "The meeting was supposedly the first with the saucer race... The earth members... could not understand some of the space people's humble beliefs and actions." While this story is long forgotten, its descendants have helped fuel the UFO-centric view of postWorld War II history behind the Disclosure movement and MJ-12. I guess it's Fidel Castro's moment to shine in the spotlight of this evolving modern folklore. Jerry Clark Listen to 'Strange Days...
