Sorry, Gerald, but it was no more than a case of me trying to
remember what the word for 'an operationalized measure'
(operationalization) was, and coming up with (unintentionally
inventing) the word 'operationalisms' to label it. And then
making an attempt to explain to the list that I was using the
word in this context, not in the context of its referring to the
actual doctrine of Operationalism.

I accepted Cathy's pronouncement that it was a word I seem to
have invented. Never bothered to check and see if it actually is
a word, simply accepted her pronouncement. That it is used
somewhere else in the same context I used it (as per your url)
is testimony to nothing else other than I probably heard or read
it used this way before, which is maybe why I came up with this
word in the first place when trying to remember.

Doesn't take much logic to understand that scenario - "neo" or
