And then making an attempt to explain to the list that I was using the word in this context, not in the context of its referring to the actual doctrine of Operationalism. I accepted Cathy's pronouncement that it was a word I seem to have invented. Never bothered to check and see if it actually is a word, simply accepted her pronouncement. That it is used somewhere else in the same context I used it (as per your url) is testimony to nothing else other than I probably heard or read it used this way before, which is maybe why I came up with this word in the first place when trying to remember.
