Date: May 8, 2012 Time: 11:28 PM Chart Degrees: Point of origin the ecliptic equator and 18h, falling in a straight line through the constellation Scorpius. Event: Possible space debris falling out of the sky. It did not have the characteristics of a comet or asteroid. It looked like a chemical/metal burn with a smoke trail down to my horizon. It was difficult to tell the distance from my vantage point. I was hoping that the debris fell into the Caribbean or Gulf of Cortez.
