I'd say it sounded like the owner of the forum definitely wanted
it saved and was giving his assent to having it duplicated.
Thanks for putting the time and effort into it.

A lot of forum owners don't seem to be aware (or care) that a
lot of the posts in their forums contain useful material that
hasn't always been archived anywhere else. I've had a couple of
forums where I'd posted extensively just disappear with no
notice or opportunity to save our own posts that we'd put a lot
of thought and research into.

If you own a forum and want to shut it down, please give others
the chance to save their old posts, or even host the forum
themselves. I now have a file for pasting copies of significant
posts I write, just so they won't disappear. I wished I'd
started it a long time ago. Google's cache isn't anything like
what it used to be, and contrary to popular belief, not
everything lives on the Internet forever.
