This seems to be a favourite episode that 'proves' Robbert is a
fraud. See also the following URL:

So Robbert said on a TV show 'genverbrander' instead of
'geneverbrander'.

Eliding over a short syllable like that is common in speech.
That possible slip in pronunciation is pretty weak evidence of
malfeasance.
