As some others have posted, I too would like to see James
Carrion publish his theories with supporting evidence and allow
others to reach their own conclusion. To join in this back and
forth, as I've seen the past couple of days is adding weight to
something that, as of yet, has little substance. Of course, the
definition of "substance" may be another point of contention.

IMO, the Internet now defines ufology and not the historic
research organizations that evolved from NICAP. Carrion's
theories or beliefs will only have whatever weight we give it in
our reactions here, and the ripple it makes in the ufological
pond won't be seen in the surface tension a few years from now.

Carrion isn't the first person to jump from the fence to one
side or the other in this field, and I've seen most researchers
sway one way or the other as time goes on. But his quick
transition from newly installed International Director of MUFON
to someone who has it all figured out is somewhat incredulous.
