Today a piece from the European Space Agency - http://www.esa.int/esaCP/SEMRZD7YJ6H_index_0.html "The foul smell with traces of sulphur in the cockpit came from none other than the Gr=EDmsvotn volcano that was spewing gas and ash from southeast Iceland. Sulphur dioxide often indicates volcanic ash, and the presence of ash in the atmosphere can endanger jet engines." - reminded me there's another place closer to home where such life might have evolved.
