Bowra Aztec Independent-Review I'm looking for an article published in the Aztec Independent- Review in 1947 or maybe 1949 dealing with a tongue-in-cheek story George Bowra, editor-in-chief, wrote about a crashed flying saucer close to Aztec, New Mexico. At the time, Bowra had a column in this weekly paper which was titled "Ripe and Tears." It was mostly short pieces of writing oftenly enough fiction. Unfortunately I have no date for this article. I emailed the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., and made extensive research on the Internet but wasn't successful. There is only two leads (Jerome Clark in OMNI magazine in September 1988) saying the article dates back to 1948 ; an article in The Albuquerque Journal on May 16, 1998, mentioning the article but without a date). The Aztec Museum and Pioneer Village in New Mexico conducted a search for the 1948 series and did not find it. I read many references to this article but I was unable to get a copy of it. Maybe you're familiar with it and you have additional leads. If that is so, I would appreciate if you could sent me a .pdf copy of it. Please let me know about research fees. Regards, Th.
